About

In addition to the research center CREALP and the engineering office HydroCosmos SA, which currently develop RS MINERVE, two universities (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne and Universitat Politècnica de València) and Hydro10 Association, complement and enhance the development of RS MINERVE.

Main people positioned on these Offices or Institutes helping to the improvement of the RS MINERVE are presented hereafter.

  • Javier García Hernández. Ph.D., is the Managing Director of the Research Center on Alpine Environnement (CREALP). He obtained his MSc in civil engineering at the Technical University of Valence (Spain) in 2006 and his Ph.D. in civil engineering (flood forecasting and management field) in 2011 at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland).
  • Stéphane Micheloud. Ph.D., is IT Manager in the Flood Management Department (Pôle GestCrues) at CREALP. He obtained his MSc in computer science at Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich (INF-ETHZ) in 1990 and his Ph.D. in computer science in 2009 at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (IC-EPFL).
  • Alain Foehn. MSc., is a Ph.D. student at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL, Switzerland) and works about real-time data assimilation for hydrological modelling in alpine catchments. He collaborates with the Flood management Department (Pôle GestCrues) at CREALP. He obtained his MSc. in environmental sciences in 2012 at EPFL.
  • Javier Fluixá Sanmartín. MSc., is a hydrologist and hydraulic specialist in the Flood Management Department (Pôle GestCrues) at CREALP. He graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering in 2009 and obtained his MSc in Hydraulic Engineering and Environment at the Technical University of Valencia (Spain) in 2012, where he worked for several years as a researcher in dam safety risk analysis.
  • Samuel ALESINA, MSc., is a hydrometeorologist specialist in the Flood Management Department (Pôle GestCrues) at CREALP. He obtained his MSc. in environmental sciences in 2014 at EPFL.

HydroCosmos S.A.:

  • Jérôme Dubois. Ph.D., is the first software developer of Routing System (previous version of RS Minerve). He holds a PhD  civil engineering from the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland) and co-founded the company HydroCosmos SA in 2000.
  • Bastien Roquier. Ph.D., is a project manager at HydroCosmos SA and is actively involved in hydrological and hydraulic projects. He finished a PhD in the field of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland) in 2012.

Universitat Politècnica de València -UPV:

  • Javier Paredes Arquiola. Ph.D., is an assistant professor of hydraulic engineering and water quality modelling at the Technical University of Valencia (Spain). He graduated with a degree in civil engineering (1998), obtained his MSc in civil engineering at the California State University (USA, 2003), and obtained a Ph.D. in civil engineering (2004) at the Technical University of Valencia (Spain).
  • Néstor Lerma Elvira. MSc., is a researcher in Water Resources Division at the Technical University of Valencia (Spain). He graduated with a degree in civil engineering (2011), obtained his MSc in hydraulic engineering and environmental at the Technical University of Valencia (Spain, 2013), and now he is developing a Ph.D. in civil engineering at the same university.

External experts:

  • Edgar Belda Ibáñez. MSc., is a civil engineer with experience in water resources, mathematics and computer modelling and algorithm optimization. He graduated with a degree in civil engineering (2013), obtained his MSc in hydraulic engineering and environmental at the Technical University of Valencia (Spain, 2015), and he is currently studding computer engineering in the National Distance Education University (Spain, 2016).
  • Jean-Louis Boillat. Ph.D., is one of the most reputed experts in the hydrologic and hydraulic fields and strongly collaborates with the Laboratory of Hydraulic Constructions at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland).
